Missing Picture

I am super depressed. I just finished an amazing painting for the Allegany-Steuben Holstein Club and totally forgot to take a picture of it! I'm always sad to see a painting go. It's like a piece of me is gone. So, it is important to me to get a photo before it heads out the door. Oh well....on to the next painting.

So I did this one for the Sept challenge on the Wetcanvas forum. One of the great things about putting pictures of your paintings online. Is that you notice things you didn't catch before. For example; instead of being done with this. I now see I must go back and fix the ears on the calf and the coloring in the tail on his momma.

Welcome back!

After taking almost a year off to have my baby and focus on the construction of our new dairy barn. I am finally back!!

It feels great to be able to paint again.

I decided to ease myself into it. With  no hard expectations just fun. I chose to paint our new farm sign. Which depicts our German and P.A Dutch Heritage.  

I then moved on and am working on 2 paintings and have one commission painting due by the end of next month. Also, ironically a farm sign :)
